The heat is certainly cranking up this summer so it’s important that we are looking after our bodies from the inside out. We have put together a list of things you NEED in your skincare routine this summer to ensure that you’re not only looking good, but feeling good!
We feel this goes without saying but SPF is going to be your best friend when it comes to keeping your skin safe from those harsh UV rays (especially if you're from Aus!). Starting your skincare by putting on a lightweight sunscreen or a combination moisturiser with SPF in it is essential!
Hydration is key not only for summer but all year round! Make sure you have a good moisturiser in your summer skincare tool kit, especially one with Hyaluronic Acid to repair, moisturise and protect your skin from environmental stresses and everyday pollutants.
3. Vitamin C Serum
Having a good Vitamin C serum will help improve your skin texture, increase collagen and enhance luminosity. Layering a few drops of vitamin C serum in between cleansing and moisturising is the best way to reap the benefits!
4. Lighten Up Your Skincare
When we wear less layers in summer, we should also be doing the same with our skin. Much like our wardrobes, we recommend a more light weight skincare routine to counter the heat and humidity from your pores. Try swapping to a gentle cleanser to provide you with a clear and hydrated complexion.
What we put in our bodies is just as (if not more) important for your summer skincare health! According to health professionals we should be drinking at least 1.5 - 2L of water per day. Not only will this help you feel hydrated on the inside, your skin will benefit as it will help to maintain elasticity.
